Information stored by the app
When you choose to create or import it, the app may store assessment names, addresses, scopes, zones, assessor-entered details, photographs, images, notes, findings, actions, limitations, review decisions, voice observations, reviewed transcripts, imported documents, extracted document text, generated reports, evidence references, report identity details and a company logo.
Assessment content is held in app-controlled local storage with Complete Data Protection where supported by iOS or iPadOS. Apple-managed device backups may include app data according to your device and iCloud backup settings. This is operating-system backup behaviour, not Building Analyst account sync or collection by Robson AI Solutions.
Device permissions
Building Analyst asks for camera access only when you capture site evidence. The system Photos picker lets you choose specific images without giving the app full Photo Library access. Microphone access is requested only when you record a site voice observation. Files or document-picker access is used when you import evidence or save an exported report.
On supported devices and languages, Apple on-device speech recognition is used only when you ask the app to turn a recorded site conversation into editable evidence. The app requires on-device recognition and does not use a third-party transcription service. If recognition is unavailable or declined, you can type and review the observation instead.
Temporary voice-capture originals are removed after save, replacement, cancellation or dismissal. Interrupted-session leftovers are purged on the next app launch and by Delete All Local Data. Denying a permission prevents the related capture route but does not prevent unrelated local features.
AI and automated processing
Building Analyst retains deterministic local guidance so the core workflow does not depend on a third-party AI service. On supported Apple Intelligence devices, the app may use Apple's on-device Foundation Models when that feature is available and enabled.
The current release does not send assessment evidence to Robson AI Solutions or a third-party AI provider for analysis. Private Cloud Compute is not enabled in the current production configuration. AI-assisted text is presented as draft commentary for professional review and is not automatically treated as a final finding or issued report content.
Sharing and exports
Building Analyst does not automatically upload assessment content. Information leaves the app only when you deliberately use an import, export, save or share action provided by iOS or iPadOS.
A destination you select may be operated by Apple or another provider, such as iCloud Drive, Files, Mail or a third-party sharing app. That provider's privacy terms apply to the exported copy. Robson AI Solutions does not control or automatically retrieve exported files.
Purchases
Professional subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment and account information. Building Analyst reads Apple's verified transaction and entitlement status to decide whether Professional features are available. The app does not receive your Apple Account password or payment-card details.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current Building Analyst app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. It does not sell assessment content or use it to build advertising profiles.
Retention and deletion
Local assessment content remains in app-controlled storage until you delete an assessment, use Delete All Local Data, delete the app or iOS removes the app's data. Delete All Local Data removes app-controlled assessments, media, generated reports and temporary captures. It cannot remove copies previously exported to Files, iCloud Drive, Mail or another app, or control Apple-managed device backups.
Security and professional use
Building Analyst uses Apple's platform protections and Complete Data Protection for app-controlled files where supported. You remain responsible for device security, access controls, appropriate evidence handling, lawful sharing and professional review before issuing a report.
Changes and contact
This notice will be updated before a release introduces automatic cloud synchronisation, Robson AI server processing, third-party AI processing, analytics, advertising or materially different data handling.
